How it works

There is nothing to sign up for. FindaVetCenter has no accounts, no passwords, and no app to install. Open the site in any web browser and start searching.

Three steps

1. Search. Type a ZIP code or city, or tap "Use my location." If you share your location, we use it once to find nearby sites. We don't store it.
2. Pick a site. You'll see the closest Vet Centers, satellite sites, and Mobile Vet Centers, with the distance to each.
3. Call or go. Each listing has a phone number, hours, directions, and a note that tells you whether to call ahead.

What each listing shows

• The site's name and type: main Vet Center, community access point, outstation, or Mobile Vet Center.
• Street address and a directions link.
• The phone number to call, and the 24/7 Vet Center Call Center number, 877-927-8387.
• Hours for each day of the week, when VA publishes them.
• Whether the site takes walk-ins or is by appointment only.
• The services the Vet Center offers, such as PTSD counseling, couples and family counseling, grief counseling, military sexual trauma care, and telehealth.
• The host organization for satellite sites, so you know what building to look for.
• A "verified as of" date and a link to the official VA.gov page for that Vet Center.

Call ahead when you can

Main Vet Centers usually take walk-ins during business hours, but many satellite sites are staffed only on certain days and see people by appointment. When a listing says "call ahead," call the number shown before you make the trip. If the listing has no hours, the main Vet Center can tell you when a counselor will be at that site.

Mobile Vet Centers

Mobile Vet Centers are vehicles that travel to outreach events, rural areas, and communities after a disaster. Their schedule changes week to week. We show the phone number for the Vet Center that operates each vehicle so you can ask where it will be next.

Where the information comes from

Facility information comes from VA's public facility data and the official VA.gov page for each Vet Center. A scheduled job refreshes our records several times a week and records the date on each listing. We add plain-language notes, a page for every satellite site, and the Call Center and Crisis Line numbers on every listing.

VA is the authority on its own facilities. If our listing and the Vet Center disagree, trust the Vet Center. Please tell us so we can fix it.

What we don't do

We don't schedule appointments, and we don't hold your personal information. We are not part of VA, and using this site doesn't create a record with VA. To learn what little data the site handles, read our privacy policy.
