Terms of service
These terms explain what you can expect from FindaVetCenter and what we ask of you. We wrote them in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, email support@findavetcenter.com.
1. Who we are
FindaVetCenter (findavetcenter.com, "the site") is run by No Veteran Alone, Inc. ("we," "us"), a 501(c)(19) veterans organization at 2720 Dundee Rd, PMB 140, Northbrook, IL 60062. By using the site, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. What the site is, and isn't
The site is a free directory of VA Vet Centers, Mobile Vet Centers, outstations, and community access points. It gives you locations, hours, phone numbers, services, and links to official VA pages.
The site is not part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and is not endorsed by VA. It does not provide counseling, medical care, or medical advice. It does not schedule appointments. It is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, call the Veterans Crisis Line: dial 988, then press 1. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
3. Accuracy of information
Our facility information comes from VA's public facility data and VA.gov pages. We refresh it several times a week and print a "verified as of" date on each listing. Hours and services can change on short notice, and we can't guarantee that every listing is complete or current. Call the Vet Center before you visit. If our listing and the Vet Center disagree, trust the Vet Center, and please tell us so we can fix it.
4. Using the site
The site is for personal, non-commercial use by Veterans, service members, their families, and the people who help them. You may share links to any page. Please don't:
- use the site in a way that breaks the law or harms others;
- try to break into, overload, or disrupt the site or the systems behind it;
- copy the site wholesale or present our pages as your own;
- use the site to collect information about other people.
5. Content and trademarks
VA facility data is public information. The way we present it, our plain-language notes, our design, and the FindaVetCenter name belong to No Veteran Alone, Inc.. VA's name and seal belong to VA, and our use of VA data doesn't mean VA endorses us.
6. Links to other sites
We link to VA.gov, the Veterans Crisis Line, and map services. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we don't control them.
7. No warranty
We provide the site as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.
8. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, No Veteran Alone, Inc. and the people who work on the site are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss that comes from relying on information on the site. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will also post a notice on the site for at least 30 days. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
