Is FindaVetCenter part of VA?

No. FindaVetCenter is an independent, free directory run by No Veteran Alone, Inc., a 501(c)(19) veterans organization. VA does not endorse us. We use VA's public facility data and link to the official VA.gov page for every Vet Center.

What is a Vet Center?

Vet Centers are VA community counseling centers. They offer free, confidential counseling and support to eligible Veterans, service members, and their families in a non-medical setting. Vet Center records are kept separate from VA medical records and are not shared without your written permission.

Who can use a Vet Center?

Eligibility is set by VA. Veterans and service members, including National Guard and Reserve members, are eligible if any one of these applies to them:

Family members of Veterans and service members can get help coping with deployment, help supporting their Veteran's readjustment, and bereavement counseling after a death on active duty. You do not need to be enrolled in VA health care or have a service-connected disability. The fastest way to find out whether you qualify is to call any Vet Center or the Call Center at 877-927-8387.

Does it cost anything?

No. Vet Center services are free, and FindaVetCenter is free. We do not show ads and we do not sell data.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for. Open the site and search.

When does the directory launch?

Veterans Day, November 11, 2026. Until then, use VA's facility locator and choose "Vet Centers," or call the Call Center.

What is a community access point?

A community access point is a satellite site where a Vet Center counselor meets people closer to home, often inside a township building, a college, or a community organization. Most are staffed only on certain days and by appointment. Each listing tells you which Vet Center runs the site and what number to call.

What is a Mobile Vet Center?

A Mobile Vet Center is a vehicle that brings counselors to outreach events, rural areas, and communities after a disaster. Its schedule changes often, so we show the phone number for the Vet Center that operates it.

How current is the information?

We refresh our records from VA's public data several times a week and print a "verified as of" date on every listing. Hours can still change on short notice, so call before you visit. If our listing and the Vet Center disagree, trust the Vet Center.

How do I report a wrong listing?

Email support@findavetcenter.com with the name of the site and what is wrong. We check it against VA's data and the Vet Center and fix our listing. If VA's own record is wrong, we'll tell you how to report it to VA.

What information do you collect about me?

Very little. We have no accounts. If you type a ZIP code or share your location, we use it once to find nearby sites and don't store it. Our servers keep standard technical logs for a short time. If you email us, we keep your message so we can reply. The privacy policy explains this in full, including how to ask us to delete anything we hold.

Is the site accessible?

We build to WCAG 2.1 AA. The site works with screen readers and keyboard navigation and uses large, high-contrast text. If something doesn't work for you, email support@findavetcenter.com and we'll fix it.

How do I contact you?

Email support@findavetcenter.com. Mail: No Veteran Alone, Inc., 2720 Dundee Rd, PMB 140, Northbrook, IL 60062.
